My Ethos

When we look at the environment we live in and see the impact our lives and businesses have on the planet, we have to do our best to protect it and secure its future. I also believe in fair trade & knowing who we are supporting when making a purchase.

Here are the steps I am taking in my business to do this...

Eco Friendly Packaging

My packaging is eco friendly, FSC approved & uses a water based glue. Included in your postal deliveries are real dried rose petals in an eco friendly organza bag. These can be used to scent a draw or popped into a bath. Gift bags used at events are made from 85% recycled materials & pH-neutral.

Gemstones

All of my Gemstones are carefully selected from UK suppliers. They are natural & untreated. They have been sold to me as ethically sourced.

I have trained with the London Goldsmiths Association & studied in depth at many ways gemstones can be treated or sold misleadingly.

I personally believe in the beauty of finding something naturally from the ground & polishing it over something lab grown or treated to make it more sellable.

Sustainable Precious Metals

All of my precious metals I use to make my jewellery is bought directly as recycled from Cookson Gold.

I collect all of my scraps and dust. Where possible melt down and use again in jewellery pieces or alternatively I send it to a UK based firm to melt it down. They will also extract any metal from things like sandpaper, carpet, cleaning clothes etc. I keep two mats under my bench so I don't loose any to the floor boards!

I also walk to the post office to deliver your parcels when I can, switch off electrical tools when not in use, recycle paper and cardboard from deliveries in the studio & much more. They may be little things but I feel those add up over time & make a big impact.
